JAMES D. GILBERT, CPA, ABV, CFF
Jim is currently the Managing Partner of J.D. Gilbert & Company, a Certified Public Accounting firm located in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Jim has been a domestic relations consultant and expert witness for divorce litigation since 1993. He has worked on hundreds of cases in the 2nd, 11th, 15th, 17th, and 19th Judicial Circuit Courts. He has prepared in excess of 500 business valuations for the public sector and private industry. Prior to opening his own firm, he worked at Arthur Andersen in Miami and Ernst & Young in New York. He has testified throughout the State of Florida on cases involving business damage, loss of profits, business valuations, divorce, and eminent domain. Jim has also prepared computations for personal injury and wrongful death cases.
Jim has prepared and/or testified in hundreds of condemnation cases and is one of nine CPAs qualified for business damage consulting for the State of Florida. He is currently under contract with Florida Department of Transportation District Four (Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River Counties) and District Three (Bay, Calhoun, Escambia, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Wakulla, Walton, and Washington Counties). He has provided business damage consulting services, including business damage appraisals and expert witness testimony, to the State of Florida and municipalities throughout Florida since 1986.
